Production Blender - 3rd Shift (10:45pm - 7:00am)

Peace River Citrus Products, Inc. – Clower Facility

POSITION SUMMARY:

The position ensures that product, packaging and process norms co3rd Sply with quality and food safety standards for the company’s beverage base blending/packaging facility located in Bartow, FL.   Reporting to the Production Supervisor, this position performs the function of blending product to customer requirements.  This position performs all ingredient handling, including dumping of dry ingredients, tanker connection. Other blenders will be the back-up for this position.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Verify the pulling and staging of all ingredients to be dumped/pumped up for the Blender's production.
  • Must work closely with Blenders, filler operators, pasteurizers, and drum dumpers. 
  • Follow instructions and communicate product changes, clean ups, or any problems that deviate from schedule or hinders efficiencies.
  • Solves problems and have ability to perform complex hose/line connections to redirect flows as required.
  • Must use mechanical aptitude to facilitate trouble shooting valves, pumps, meters, solenoids and valve matrix.
  • Required to assist the quality lab with samples related to the blending process and be able to log them manually and/or electronically.
  • All documentation must be accurate and done timely. Must follow GMP, Safety, SOP and HACCP procedures.
  • Meets all “Good Manufacturing Practices”.
  • Practices safety requirements established by OSHA and Peace River Citrus Products.
  • Be available to work extended shifts and days.
  • Any additional duties assigned by supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Basic knowledge of computer functions on a keyboard
  • Prefer forklift experience
  • Attention to detail and familiarity with industrial equipment
  • Excellent physical condition and coordination
  • Valid certification to operate forklifts
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Utilizes advance skills of reading, writing, speaking, analytical capacity and high level of professional judgment to resolve problems affecting work area.
  • Applies communication skills to perform work and coordinate with others.
  • Works with computers and other electronic communication devices; including programs to prepare documents or reports, as necessary.
  • Ability to take prompt and appropriate response to operating conditions.
  • Work with other department leadership & employees, including senior level management.
  • Be flexible regarding duties, as directed by leadership.
