Qualifications:

  • Basic English verbal and written skills, bi-lingual a plus
  • Basic knowledge of computer functions on a keyboard
  • Maintains clean self-image for working in a “Good Manufacturing Practices” environment
  • Good attendance required
  • Able to communicate and work well with others
  • Knowledge of materials, methods, and tools involved in daily warehouse operation of a forklift, valid certification to operate forklifts a plus
  • Experience moving sensitive material from one location to another
  • Knowledge of warehouse equipment and tools a plus
  • Attention to detail and able to retain learned skills
  • Able to problem solve.  Has good organization skills
  • Has a history if practicing safe work habits
  • Excellent physical condition and coordination
  • High school diploma or GED and able to perform basic math
  • Not mentally or physically impaired from any cause that can adversely affect ability to safely and competently perform required functions
  • Ability to accurately gauge lengths of time and distance
  • Ability to take prompt and appropriate response to operating conditions

Working Conditions:

  • Manufacturing production and warehouse environment.
  • Warehouse freezer & refrigeration, and ambient climates.

Physical Requirements:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Must be able to lift and stack product up to 50 lbs. Must be able to work in various temperatures of extreme ranges.

 Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Follows standard operating procedures (SOP).
  • Works with machine filler operator to prepare finished products for packaging.
  • Prepares area for assembling and completing packaging of product.
  • Picks up, folds, and seals boxes for shipment.
  • Inspects and reports defective or damaged products.
  • Transports wrapped products to staging area.
  • Notifies supervisor when supply is low.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Must be able to drive a forklift safely.
  • Meets all “Good Manufacturing Practices”.
  • Practices safety requirements established by OSHA and Peace River Citrus Products.
  • Conforms to requirements of PRCP food safety programs.
  • Be available to work extended shifts and days.
  • Any additional duties assigned by supervisor.
  • Assist in inventory control for packaging materials.
  • Performs area housekeeping.
  • Supports other departments, as requested.
  • Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies.
  • Inspect machinery to determine the need for repairs and guarantee safety by performing regular maintenance.
  • Must be able to drive a forklift safely.
  • Meets all “Good Manufacturing Practices”.
  • Practices’ safety requirements established by OSHA and Peace River Citrus Products.
  • Conforms to requirements of PRCP food safety programs.
  • Be available to work extended shifts and days.
  • Any additional duties assigned by supervisor.
